GMAT and EA: Update to Testing Policy for Candidates whose Primary Residence is Iran

If your primary residence is in Iran

Due to a recent change in U.S. regulations, we're currently unable to schedule or deliver GMAT or EA exams for candidates whose primary residence is in Iran. This is in effect starting September 8, 2026, until further notice.

  • Appointments scheduled for September 8, 2026 or later for affected candidates have been / will be canceled.
  • You'll be notified directly by Pearson if your appointment was affected.
  • You will receive a full refund.

Can I still take an exam:

If your GMAT or Executive Assessment (EA) profile shows an address in Iran, you may still be able to schedule or keep your exam appointment. Here's what you need to do.

  1. Update your country of residence. Your mba.com profile must show a country of residence other than Iran before you can schedule an appointment. If your profile still shows Iran as your country of residence, you won't be able to schedule.
  2. Bring two forms of ID to the test center. Because you'll be testing outside your country of citizenship, you'll need to present both:
    • Your passport
    • A secondary form of ID that verifies your residence outside Iran

If you can't present both forms of ID at check-in, you won't be able to test that day.
