This article explains what to expect on the day of your EA appointment at a test center, from arrival through completing your assessment.
Before You Arrive
Before leaving for the test center, make sure you have:
- Acceptable identification that meets all testing requirements.
- Your appointment details.
- Arrived early enough to complete the check-in process.
We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
Check In at the Test Center
When you arrive, test center staff will guide you through the check-in process.
You will be asked to:
- Present your acceptable identification.
- Sign in for your appointment.
- Store all personal belongings in a designated locker or storage area.
- Complete any required security procedures before entering the testing room.
Personal items, including mobile phones, smartwatches, bags, notes, food, and study materials, are not permitted in the testing room.
Security Procedures
To protect the integrity of the EA, all candidates must complete the required security procedures.
Depending on the test center, this may include:
- Identity verification
- Digital signature
- Fingerprint scan
- Photograph
- Wand screening
- Inspection of eyeglasses and other permitted items
You must follow all instructions provided by the test center staff.
During the Assessment
Once you are seated, test center staff will start your assessment.
During your appointment:
- Follow all instructions provided by the test center administrator.
- Raise your hand if you need assistance.
- Do not access personal belongings unless authorized.
- Follow all EA testing rules throughout your appointment.
Unauthorized materials or behavior that violates testing policies may result in your assessment being terminated.
After You Finish
When you complete your assessment:
- Submit your assessment following the on-screen instructions.
- Return any materials provided by the test center.
- Collect your personal belongings before leaving.
Your official score report will be available in your mba.com account, typically within 8 hours.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I arrive late?
Candidates who arrive after their scheduled appointment time may not be admitted. If you are not able to begin your assessment within the permitted check-in window, your appointment may be canceled.
What identification do I need?

Can I bring personal items into the testing room?
No. Personal items, including phones, bags, watches, notes, and study materials, must be stored before entering the testing room.

Can I take breaks?
