What Is a Voucher?
A voucher is a code that can be applied during registration to reduce or cover the cost of an exam or service.
Vouchers may be issued by:
- Business Schools
- Scholarship Organizations
- Test Prep Organizations
- GMAC Customer Care
- Other authorized organizations
Voucher eligibility, value, expiration dates, and usage restrictions are determined by the issuing organization.
What Is a Fee Waiver?
A fee waiver allows an eligible candidate to register for the GMAT exam at a reduced cost or no cost.
GMAT fee waivers are typically distributed through participating business schools and approved programs.
Eligibility requirements and distribution processes are determined by the issuing organization.
Voucher and Fee Waiver Restrictions
Unless otherwise specified by the issuing organization:
- Vouchers and fee waivers are intended for the recipient only
- Vouchers and fee waivers cannot be redeemed for cash
- Expired vouchers and fee waivers cannot be used
- Vouchers and fee waivers may not be combined with other offers
- Voucher and fee waiver terms may vary depending on the issuer
Candidates are responsible for reviewing any restrictions provided with their voucher or fee waiver.
Customer Care Vouchers
In certain situations, GMAC Customer Care may issue a voucher as part of a case resolution.
Customer Care vouchers are subject to the terms provided when the voucher is issued, which include:
- An expiration date
- Restrictions on transferability
- Limitations on exam format or delivery method
- Additional conditions specific to the resolution provided
Candidates are responsible for scheduling and completing their exam before the voucher expires.
Vouchers are intended for the recipient and are not transferrable.
Any misuse or violation of the voucher terms may result in the cancellation of your exam or score.

Receiving a voucher does not guarantee appointment availability.
Candidates should schedule their exam as early as possible to ensure they can test before the voucher expires.
