Use this guide if you cannot attend your exam due to an emergency.
1. Emergency Reschedules and Refunds
You may be eligible for a free reschedule or a full refund in the event of a verified emergency. All requests require supporting documentation and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Qualifying Situations
Medical: A serious illness or injury preventing you from testing. (Requires a doctor’s note or hospital discharge papers).
Military: Active military orders stating you must be on assignment on your exam date. (Requires a copy of your orders).
Bereavement: The death of an immediate family member. (Requires a death certificate or obituary notice).
How to Request an Emergency Exception
Important: Do not cancel your appointment yourself, as this may forfeit your refund.
For Test Center Appointments: Contact GMAT Customer Service for Test Center Appointments by phone or email.
For Online Appointments: Contact GMAT Customer Care for Online Appointments by completing the support form.
Required Documentation: You must include your:
Full Name
Appointment ID
an explanation with your supporting documents attached
Note: Decisions are final and submitting a request does not guarantee approval.
2. Missed Appointments
If you miss your exam and do not meet the "Emergency" criteria above:
You will be marked as a "No Show."
Your exam fee will be forfeited.
You must wait 24 hours before you can schedule a new appointment.
A new exam fee will apply.
