How should I adjust my preparation to account for GMAT Superscore?
We understand that the introduction of GMAT Superscore on score reports may influence how you plan your GMAT Prep strategy. We encourage candidates to continue to employ a testing strategy that prioritizes scoring your best Section and Total Scores on each attempt to avoid additional investments in time and cost. Note that all GMAT Superscores sent to schools will be accompanied by a valid single attempt score, which means schools will continue to see that information for the single attempt score that you select to send.
Is the GMAT score scale changing?
No, the GMAT score scale is not changing. The GMAT Superscore will be on the same score scale as the GMAT Total Score (205–805) and may be used by schools as an additional data point to consider when making admissions decisions. It does not have an associated percentile ranking.
Will GMAC introduce an EA exam equivalent to the GMAT Superscore?
There are no plans to introduce a superscore for the EA exam at this time. The EA is an assessment designed to give candidates an accessible and convenient option to signal a candidate’s readiness for MBA programs and beyond.
That said, we continuously monitor the market and evaluate candidate and school needs, and we remain open to revisiting how we can serve both audiences over time.
