Your GMAT profile must match the identification (ID) you will present on test day. If it does not match you will be denied entry to your exam and your exam fees will be forfeited.
When you register for the GMAT exam delivered online, you will be directed to the Examity dashboard. Before you can schedule your appointment, you must complete your Examity Profile, which includes:
- Selecting your time zone
- Uploading an image of your ID
- Setting up your security questions
- Providing a typing sample
Before you upload your ID, review the GMAT ID Requirements and Location-Specific ID Guidelines. If you do not have the correct ID uploaded on exam day, you will not be allowed to test and your exam fees will be forfeited.
To upload your ID from the Examity Dashboard:
- Take a picture of the entire photo ID (if using a passport, take the full passport page, not just the photo)
- Save the picture to your device
- Click the Choose File button under the examiShow section of the Examity Profile page
- Select the saved file from your device
- Click the Save Photo ID button - you must click this button after choosing the file
- Read the text in the pop-up box and, after verifying, click the OK button
- You will see a statement confirming the upload and the ID image will now appear
- Please note, this process is saving a picture of your ID to your profile. Your ID will not be verified until exam day when your proctor asks you to show the exact same ID.
- If the ID you present on test day does not match the uploaded ID, or if the uploaded ID does not meet the ID requirements for your location, you will not be allowed to test and your exam fees will be forfeited.
To update the ID uploaded to the Examity Dashboard:
- Complete steps 1-5 above with the new ID
- You will see a statement confirming the upload and the new ID image will now appear - confirm that the new ID image does appear on your profile
- Please note, this process is saving a picture of your new ID to your profile. Your ID will not be verified until exam day when your proctor asks you to show the same ID.
- If the ID you present does not match the uploaded ID, or if the uploaded ID does not meet the ID requirements for your location, you will not be allowed to test and your exam fees will be forfeited.
