The Verbal Reasoning section of the exam primarily assesses a test taker’s critical reasoning and reading comprehension skills. Critical Reasoning questions evaluate the ability to analyze and evaluate complex scenarios, draw logical inferences, and develop arguments or solutions. Reading Comprehension questions evaluate the ability to recognize and understand ideas and draw inferences from information presented in passages.
The redesigned GMAT emphasizes higher-order critical reasoning skills and data literacy that are particularly relevant and applicable in tomorrow's business environment. Therefore, we have removed sentence corrections from the Verbal Reasoning section.
